Our Story

Founder and CEO, Sherry Armstrong, began Honors in 2007 with the intention of bringing unique perpetual plaques and complimentary individual awards to the marketplace. An industry expert for more than 25 years, Sherry’s innovative ideas are now exclusive to the Honors line.

Honors is the new generation of awards and plaques. With a multitude of choices, the possibilities are endless. Whether your organization is big or small, the Honors Team wants to help you motivate and inspire your employees and customers.

You can feel confident that the Honors products are high quality and will make others feel valued. We’re pretty good at what we do. At least that’s what our customers tell us.

About Us

Sherry Armstrong

Sherry Armstrong

Known as the “Visionary,” Sherry is the creator of the Honors line. With recognition in her blood (well, at least for the past 25 years or so) she has been building Honors to put a fresh twist into plaques. Dreaming of cool new awards started when she was a champion racquetball player. Now the Honors line grows every day and Sherry is gearing up for a motivational speaking tour. On the lighter side, she’s really fascinated by unusual boxes, pens and electronic gadgets.

Laurie Schlager

Laurie Schlager

Laurie is the VP, HR and PA (purchasing agent) for Honors. After work, Laurie likes to pretend she’s Rachel Ray, Paula Deen and Bobby Flay all rolled into one. Although the kitchen becomes a royal mess, she finds cooking relaxing. And everyone at the office loves to test-taste to see if recipes are “keepers.” If you want to find Laurie on the weekends, look no further than the nearest golf course. She talks to her ball like a dog: “Sit! Stay! Roll over!”

Alison Kauffman

Alison Kauffman

Known as the “go-to girl” in the office, Alison is the order processor, a spreadsheet whiz and a pricing guru. (Did I mention she’s a spreadsheet whiz?) The only Colorado native in the office and the Avalanche’s biggest hockey fan, Alison can usually be found with a Jamba juice in hand working a Suduko puzzle (on her breaks, of course.)

Amy Gill

Amy Gill

After working with the company for a couple of years, Amy has a rather large hat collection. She’s the Chief Communications Officer but also helps manage the parent company, organizes trade shows, fiddles with the web sites and a bunch of other “hat wearing” gigs. She says she likes to spend a quiet night at home, but we don’t think she’s ever tried it.
